Metro
Washington, DC has an extensive subway (MetroRail) and bus system (MetroBus). Around town, the subway system is referred to as the Metro. The closest Metro station to the hotel is located at Foggy Bottom(Blue &Orange Lines), 2.5 blocks away.

Hours of operation are 5:30am to midnight on weekdays and 8am to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday and holiday service hours are 8am to midnight. All Metro stations are wheelchair accessible.

The Metro runs on a farecard system. Passengers ages five and above must purchase farecards at vending machines inside the station. Machines accept coins and bills and some also accept credit/debit cards. Metro maps are available at the Front Desk. See the Front Desk staff for more information.

Taxis
Taxis are readily available in the downtown area and near hotels. Fares are calculated based on a zone system, not a metered system. Zone maps and fare schedules are posted in cabs. Ask your driver in advance if you have any questions regarding your possible charges.

Additional charges may apply for rush hour, inclement weather, additional passengers in your group, and for additional luggage after the first piece handled. Virginia and Maryland cabs may transport you in and out of the District of Columbia but may not serve between points in the District itself.
