FIRE SAFETY and SECURITY
Please review the location of exits, alarms and fire equipment on your floor as soon after check-in as is practical. A copy of your guest floor plan is on the back of your suite door.
In case of emergency, dial 9 + 911

In case of fire

  • keep your suite key with you at all times
  • use the stairs to exit the floor, not the elevators
  • stay low in smoky areas
  • remain calm

If the fire is in your suite

  • leave the suite and close the door
  • activate the nearest alarm box, if possible
  • go to the nearest stairwell and follow the Exit signs down to the ground floor

If the fire is outside your suite

  • you may want to stay in the safety of your suite to wait for instructions from hotel management
  • dial 0 to let the hotel operator know your location

If you decide to leave your suite

  • take the key with you
  • touch the door handle and frame to see if they are hot. If they are not, open the door carefully, keeping low as you do so.
  • if possible, go to the nearest stairwell and go down to exit the building or enter a safe floor. If you can't go down, go up.

If the door is hot

  • stay in your suite and keep the door shut
  • turn off the air conditioner
  • fill the bathtub with water so you have a water supply
  • place wet towels along the bottom of the door and over any vents where there is smoke
  • dial 0 to let the hotel operator know your location
  • stay low below any smoke in the suite
  • stay calm

Security

In case of emergency, dial 9+911

In your suite

  • while in your suite use the deadbolt lock
  • check to see that connecting doors (if any) are secure
  • always ask who it is before opening your door
  • do not allow employees of the hotel or maintenance staff to enter your suite before identifying themselves with a nametag or a picture identification
  • do not leave valuables in your suite
  • protect your valuables in a safety deposit box at the front desk, accessible to you 24 hours a day. There is no charge for the use of safety deposit boxes.
